Take the HIGHWAY!
There is a Highway that the Lord has prepared for us to walk on so that we do not stumble or fall. Isaiah 35v.8 tells us that not even a fool will err if we were to walk on this road.
This Highway isn’t for the proud or for the ‘religious’ to walk on – it has been prepared for the humble of heart who are ‘poor in spirit’ – those who desire to be filled with the fullness of the love of God. It is for those who desire to grow up into Christ, as we are exhorted to do in Eph. 3 v.19. It is a Highway of Holiness.
This book has been prepared as a study guide so that we can be established on this Highway through being established in His Word. His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. Ps.119:105
On this Highway, fears, anxieties and oppressions simply do not exist.
We need to be established in the seven foundational principles of the doctrine of Christ with a view to understanding this Way.
The subject matter in this book covers such topics as; Who is God? Who am I? and What relationship have I with you? These questions are fundamental in understanding how the Body of Christ ought to be functioning. We cannot expect God to build on faulty foundations. This book is not just about knowing what the foundations are, but having our lives established in these foundations.
We begin with the purposes of God at a time before time began and ends with the glorious hope that is set before us. It is what God had planned for mankind right from the very beginning. It is not a book that can be read like a novel but rather as a study guide as passages are referred back to scripture in the text or as footnotes.
Additional to the content of the book are three appendixes which look at separate issues; What is Sin? The Days of Creation, and Practical aspects to be considered for those who seek genuine fellowship.
In knowing the ‘way’ for us to walk, the author seeks not to look at the various problems that many face – such as anxiety and spiritual oppression – but rather, to focus on Him who is the answer, and the way that has been set before us. When we learn to walk with Him on the Highway, our anxieties and oppressions simply fade away.
“… walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving Col. 2:7
